MEET OUR KINDNESS AWARD WINNERS for 2025/26!

Thank you all so much for being part of our national Kindness Awards. Reading your nominations has been pure joy.

The judges did not have an easy job – kindness is not easily quantifiable, so it was an incredibly challenging award to judge. Please know that even if you didn’t win an award, what you are doing to spread kindness in your school and community is making a difference to the world and you are all so important. Everyone nominated will receive a certificate.

Now, on to the results…

Meet the winner...

Noah

We are incredibly proud to share that Noah from East Hunsbury Primary School has been named the national winner of the Kind Pupil Award!

noahNoah was chosen from nominations from across the UK for the kindness he shows day in, day out.

The judges were particularly impressed by his ability to notice when another child needs someone. Whether it’s checking they’re okay, making sure they’re included or simply being there, Noah has a truly remarkable gift for helping people feel seen.

Noah sums up why kindness matters so beautifully: “Kindness is everything. Somebody may be going through a really hard time… who knows, someone could be having that bad moment right now. Those small bits of kindness help millions.”

We are so pleased to recognise Noah with this award. Congratulations, Noah – we hope you’re incredibly proud of the difference you make.

We are thrilled to announce that Miss Naomi Ward from Summerseat Primary School is the Winner of the Graham Spivey Kind Adult Award 2026!

Some people make a difference with grand gestures. Naomi makes a difference through countless acts of kindness and understanding every single day.

Naomi has a very special ability to makes every child feel seen, valued and believed in. She notices the little things that matter, she takes time to understand each child as an individual, and she had created an environment where children feel happy to come to school.

What stood out most was the lasting impact she has.  Parents at the school said:
She brought his light back.”

“You have brought back the little girl that we once knew.”

Class or Group Kindness Awards

Meet the winners...

The Inclusion Group

We are absolutely delighted to announce that the winners of this year’s Collective Kindness Award are The Inclusion Group at Frogmore Junior School! ✨

This incredible group of young people have shown what can happen when kindness is combined with some amazing teamwork and a clear mission to help everyone feel included!

After listening to their fellow pupils and identifying areas where they could make a difference, this brilliant group of children created a wonderful sensory garden, introduced a buddy stop and buddy bench, and worked so hard to ensure every child felt seen, heard and valued. Along the way, they wrote to local businesses, gathered ideas from across the school, and turned their kind vision into reality.

Our judges were particularly impressed by the way the group gave their fellow pupils a genuine voice by finding out how they were feeling and what they needed. Even after an idea was put into action, they always sought feedback, and adapted to make sure they were helping in the best possible way.

Congratulations to every member of the Inclusion Group, and to all the staff who support them. You are a wonderful example of kindness in action.

Meet the Runner-Up...

St Gregory’s Kindness Ambassadors

Congratulations to the Kindness Ambassadors at St Gregory’s School for being chosen as our Runners-up for the Collective Kindness Award.

The judging panel was extremely impressed by everything they have achieved. Choosing between the finalists was very difficult, and their entry stood out for the many, many thoughtful and creative ways they have spread kindness throughout the school and wider community.

The judges were  impressed by the way kindness is woven throughout the entire school year. Rather than focusing on one single event, they have created a culture of kindness through lots of different activities. Their assemblies, kindness-themed story sharing, fundraising, awards, kindness noticeboard and kindness bench all showed a real commitment to helping kindness flourish every day.

The judges also loved that their kindness reaches so many different people…pupils, teachers, support staff, and members of the  local community. This demonstrated a wonderful understanding that everyone deserves to feel valued and included.

Kind School Awards

Meet the winning school...

St Barnabas CE Primary School

And the winner of the 2026 Kind School Award is… St Barnabas CE Primary School!

Our judges were blown away by the incredible culture of kindness at St Barnabas. Kindness isn’t treated as a project or initiative – it’s woven into everyday life, shaping the way pupils, staff and families support one another and their wider community.

The judges particularly loved the school’s strong sense of belonging, where every child feels valued and cared for. They were inspired by the way pupils are given a genuine voice, the school’s commitment to staff wellbeing, and community projects that bring people together across generations. They also loved the school’s Ubuntu philosophy, ‘I am because we are’, which could be seen shining through every part of the nomination.

One judge commented that what stood out most was how kindness wasn’t something the school simply talked about, but something that was clearly embedded throughout the culture and everyday life of the school.

A huge congratulations to everyone at St Barnabas on this well-deserved award. Thank you for showing what can happen when kindness is placed at the heart of school life and for inspiring other schools to create communities where kindness can flourish.

Meet the Runners Up...

Delta Primary School

We are very excited to announce that  Delta Primary School named as one of only TWO runners-up for the national Kind School Award!

The judging panel was particularly impressed by the measurable impact of Delta’s work and the way kindness has been used as a powerful driver for positive change across the school. The remarkable 72% reduction in behaviour incidents stood out as clear evidence of the positive culture they have created.

The judges also loved the opportunities they provide for pupil leadership through their Kindness Ambassadors, as well as initiatives such as the Kindness Jar and peer recognition, which help to celebrate and encourage kindness throughout the school community.

They were equally impressed by the strong engagement with families and the wider community, and by the clear alignment between the school’s values and the outcomes they are achieving. The judges felt their entry was a wonderful example of kindness being embedded throughout a school in a way that creates meaningful and measurable change for pupils.

Congratulations to everyone involved!

Meet the Runners Up...

Witney Community Primary School

Witney Community Primary School has been names as Runner-up in the National Kind School Award 2026!

The judging panel was extremely impressed by the many ways kindness is woven throughout school life. Their entry showcased a wonderful range of activities and initiatives, all designed to help children, staff and families experience and practise kindness in so many meaningful ways.

What particularly stood out to the judges was that kindness did not feel like a standalone project or a series of isolated activities. Instead, they felt it was a deep and genuine underpinning of everything they do as a school community. They felt that kindness was clearly embedded in the values and day-to-day experiences, creating a culture where everyone feels supported and valued.

The judges were also impressed by the way their approach extends beyond pupils and reaches the wider school community, helping to create a positive and caring environment for children, staff and families.
