School KINDNESS WORKSHOPS
We run Kindness Workshops for primary schools all over the UK. Our workshops aim to spread kindness and empower children by helping them realise that the little choices they make every day have the power to change people’s lives, and improve their own physical and mental health at the same time.
Where do we run our Workshops?
Face-to-Face Workshops: We can come to your school to deliver our Kindness Workshop in-person if your school is based in the Greater Manchester area or within an hour and a half of Wokingham in Berkshire (this is where are facilitators – Greig and Krish – are based. You can read more about them here).
Virtual Workshops: For all other schools, we can offer virtual workshops.
What Happens in a Kindness Workshop?
Our Kindness Workshops teach children about the importance of kindness, the science of kindness and the impact it has on their physical and mental health and wellbeing. They include an interactive presentation by one of our enthusiastic facilitators, as well as a practical task.
“These excellent workshops are ideal for all schools that are looking to put kindness at the heart of their ethos.”
Jonnie Noakes, Director of Teaching & Learning, Eton College
Age Groups: Suitable for Key Stage 1 and 2
Length: Approx 2 hours.
Number of children per workshop: We can work with a class, a year group, or a whole school.
Cost: FREE. We never want cost to be a barrier for schools, so are happy to provide our workshops free of charge. In your booking confirmation, you will see details of how to make a suggested donation of £100, but this is optional.
100% of schools we surveyed said the children benefitted from our Kindness Workshop.
90% of teachers said they felt more confident talking to children about how to deal with unkind people.
87% of teachers said children’s relationships with friends and classmates improved.
93% of teachers said children were more thoughtful of others.
The workshops help children to develop empathy and tolerance, and improve self-awareness. By the end of the Kindness Workshop, children will:
– Realise the power of their actions.
– Understand the link between kindness and physical & mental wellbeing.
– Have a basic understanding of the science of kindness.
– Feel empowered to create the kind of world they want to live in.
