Anti-Bullying Week 2022

14th -18th November

What is Anti-Bullying Week?

Anti-Bullying Week is an annual UK event which aims to raise awareness of bullying and to highlight ways of preventing and responding to it. In England, Anti-Bullying Week is organised by the Anti-Bullying Alliance, which is a network of more than 100 member organisations (including us!) all united against bullying.

What’s Happening This Year?

This year the theme is ‘Reach Out’, which aims to empower children to counter the harm and hurt that bullying causes.

Last year, 80% of schools marked Anti-Bullying Week in their calendars, meaning it reached over 7.5 million young people! This year, Anti-Bullying Week will encourage children to reach out and show others the support they need.

Our World Kindness Day Assembly!

This week, we’re kicking off Anti-Bullying Week with our virtual World Kindness Day Assembly! This will take place on Monday, 14th November, and is available for all primary schools, you just need to register your interest here. We’re also releasing a brand new World Kindness Day Resource Pack for schools!

We’re super excited for this year’s assembly. Last year, more than 40,000 children from 150 schools took part in our assemblies, and we’re planning for 2022 to be even bigger!

How Can Your School Get Involved?

To get your school involved in Anti-Bullying Week, you can download a range of free resources from the ABA website, including lesson plans and themed assemblies for different key stages. At The School of Kindness we also have a range of free teaching resources related to Anti-Bullying Week that you can download here.

If you’d like to spread even more kindness at your school, you can request a Kindness Workshop from us here at The School of Kindness, which is totally free and a great way to inspire children to respect others and spread kindness.
