We are so excited to launch our powerful new short animated film, exploring how kindness can change our brains, our bodies, and even the world around us.
The Science of Kindness brings to life the fascinating neuroscience behind everyday kindness, and why being kind is one of the simplest ways to boost wellbeing, reduce stress, and strengthen our connections with others.
The film follows Sam, an ordinary boy whose small daily acts, such as holding doors open, checking in on friends, and including others, have a profound impact. As the story unfolds, viewers discover how kindness releases ‘feel-good’ chemicals such as dopamine and oxytocin, lowers blood pressure, reduces stress hormones, and even helps us live longer, healthier lives.
The video has been created as a free resource for teachers and schools to use in PSHE, wellbeing, or social and emotional learning lessons. It’s also ideal for assemblies, form time, or discussion starters around kindness, empathy and anti-bullying.
