We learned a lot from our Happy Facts Challenge! Did you know that you burn 8 calories getting undressed? Or that millions of trees grow every year because of forgetful squirrels who forget where they buried their nuts? Neither did we!
As part of our January kindness challenge, we asked children to write and illustrate their own Happy Facts, inspired by our lovely patron Emily Coxhead’s latest book ‘Happy Days.’
It was an absolute joy to read through all of the entries – they were all amazing! Everyone who entered went into a draw, and the winners were… Finley, Eva and Angel from Broadoak Primary School.
To take part in our Kindness Challenges, join our free Kids’ Kindness Club!
Have a look at some of the fantastic entries we received:
Our Kids’ Kindness Club is totally free. This March, Ned is telling kind stories. Kind stories help us to feel happier inside – and you might even see your school featured in this month’s edition!
We also love hearing your kind news stories. If you’d like to get involved, download our Kind News activity sheet to tell us your own kind news. Email a photo of it and your story could be featured on Kind News!
We’ve also set up our World Book Day Kindness Challenge! Inspired by Joseph Coelho’s book ‘Ten-Word Tiny Tales of Love,’ we are challenging you to write your very own ten-word tale.
There is an amazing bundle of kind books to be won – just watch Greig’s video at the Kids’ Kindness Club and download the challenge sheet to get started. The deadline is 29 March, 2025.
At the School of Kindness, we offer a range of lesson plans and activities about the importance of kindness, the science of kindness and the impact it has on our physical and mental health. They are all completely free!
