Earlier this year, a child living in a care home walked 10,000 steps daily for a month to raise money for 52 Lives. He also encouraged the other children and staff in his home to join in. The young boy also baked cakes and made lemonade to sell to the staff!

The young boy’s care worker told 52 Lives, “He chose your charity as you helped his family a long time ago before he came into care. He speaks very highly of you all and is glad he has the chance to give back. He is 10 years old and an inspiration to the young people he lives with and to all the staff that help care for him.”

When we shared this story with our supporters, they asked us to set up a fundraising page, so we did! One 52 Lives supporter also found out some of the boy’s favourite things and sent him some toys to thank him for his good deed. A massive thank you to this young boy for his kindness!
