We are so excited to announce that Cara-Diane and Tilly, from Stretton Sugwas Academy in Hereford, have won the Collective Kindness Award at our national Kindness Awards!
These two amazing students set up a Kindness Podcast which inspired their peers and had an incredible impact on their school community. The podcast encourages everyone to spread kindness, earning them national recognition!
Cara-Diane and Tilly were nominated by their headteacher, Mr Ford, who said, “I’m so proud of the girls. Through their own ideas, they’ve created a legacy of kindness that will be built on by the next crop of budding podcasters.
“Lots of children are taking part in the podcast, and lots of children and parents are listening to it. I’m really proud and couldn’t wait for them to find out they’d won.”
Our Kindness Awards celebrate kindness in primary schools across the country. This year, our judging panel included Jo Tutchenor Sharp, the CEO and founder of Scamp & Dude (who also kindly sponsored the award), Emily Coxhead, the author and founder of The Happy Newspaper, Manjit Darby MBE, Senior Nurse and Non-Exec Director of the NHS, alongside Kindness Ambassadors from St Chad’s Primary School.
Jo from Scamp & Dude said, “Being a judge at the Kindness Awards has been an incredibly rewarding experience. These awards are a perfect match for what we do at Scamp & Dude, as we believe in kindness as a superpower – especially among impressionable young minds. I’m so proud to celebrate these winners who embody the spirit of kindness in everything they do.”
The girls have won lots of goodies from Scamp & Dude, as well as subscriptions to The Week Junior magazine, and The Happy Newspaper.
